Good idea about having a real poll! I'd love to play.

But I still say the Bay City Rollers are a boy band and not at all disco. Rod Stewart does not deserve to be on the list only for Do Ya Think I'm Sexy. If you do you must add U2 for Discotheque, The Stones for Miss You, and Paul McCartney for Coming Up (Like A Flower) Somebody should be really disco and not just dabbling to make the list.

Though the US has different standards of classifying, I still think disco is mostly defined by the Studio 54 and Sat. Night Fever culture and anything that is not of that ilk or time period should not make the list.

Yes to Kool and the Gang!

Was that Alicia Bridges who did "I Love the Nightlife, I Want to Boogie" ?

Who did "Knock knock knock on Wood?" She's IN!

Also the guy or band who did "Boogie Nights"

Oops yep, Bay City Rollers off.

U2 = not 70s'.

Do you reckon Miss You is disco?

Coming up like a flower is not disco to me. (thats just a reaaally bad song)

I think we have to agree to disagree. Disco is wider than the US. JPY was disco in Australia. There was TONNES of Euro Disco too.

Add Alicia

Add Knock on Wood chick (not the bloke). I have that on CD, will go find it.
