1. Pearl Jam - Gone

Probably my favorite song of the year so far! The lyrics are really well suited for the current times too. That said, it might become dated someday when everything becomes alright, gas prices plummet, Iraq is war free and everyone is happy in the world

The rest, in no particular order...

2. Pearl Jam - Come Back / Inside Job (hard to decide )
3. RHCP - Wet Sand
4. RHCP - Especially In Michigan
5. Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars
6. Snow Patrol w/ Martha Wainwright - Set The Fire To The Third Bar
7. Muse - Knights Of Cydonia
8. Muse - Starlight
9. Thom Yorke - Harrowdown Hill
10. The Killers - When You Were Young

I don't like Snow Patrol but this is a fine track.

Little Miss Awesome version, 2006!

Boooosh!

I think it's the same version, so technically, you're right. I also love the intro to the soundtrack, which seems to have elements of that song.

Somehow, I think Gone will be relevant for a while yet.

opps. my bad.

well, that would make sense. and i think that's what i thought you were talking about the first time i saw your post, which makes sense as to why i didn't say anything before LJT posted, but makes no sense as to why i thought you meant the band now. good thing i didn't say, "what, you indie fucks never heard of the decembrists? and you call yourselves cutting edge." that would have been embarrasing!
