Ooh, I've been thinking of making a similar mix.

The Jesus & Mary Chain - My Girl
The Cure - Love Will Tear Us Apart
Robyn Hitchcock & Grant Lee Phillips - Across The Universe
Radiohead - Cinnamon Girl
R.E.M. - Love Is All Around
The Thrills - Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me

Pete Yorn - Panic

So hardly indie at all, but I like 'em.

Sweet Jane - Cowboy Junkies
Street Hassle - Simple Minds
Surfin USA - Jesus and Mary Chain
People Are Strange - Echo and the Bunnymen
Johnny Cash - Hurt
Bi God 20 - Like A Prayer (maybe not good in the true sense, but good for a laugh)
1000 Homo DJ's *or* Ministry - Supernaut
Dread Zepplin - Immigrant Song (picture Elvis in Jamaica covering Zep tunes - brilliant!)
This Mortal Coil - Song to the Siren
Mad World - (the one on the Donnie Darko soundtrack)
Tori Amos - Smells Like Teen Spirit

actually, neutral mentioned it. read, people!!!!

sarah slean - Climbing up the Walls

man, I wish I could find this...it's hard to get! but it's amazing

I now have sarah slean covering Bulletproof and Climbing up the Walls by radiohead.
as well as Butterfly by Weezer

she has a beautiful voice and she is incredibly cute live!

anyway, Climbing up the Walls is best

these should be in my main music folder. I really need to get things more organized again!

Pearl Jam - Teen Angel
Do you mean "Last Kiss"?

How about "Dancing Barefoot" by some band called U2?

And a question: Bonochick's list from Q has "How Soon is Now" by t.a.T.u...isn't that the 2 Russian fake lesbian teeny bopper singers? If so how in the hell could such a rendition be a top 50 cover song of all time...Morrissey must be getting ready to eat a steak after that news.
