Rules: Vote for your LEAST favorite song. This poll will be open for 24 hours, at which point the song with the most votes will be eliminated from the competition and the next round will be started. This process will continue until only one song remains in the 'Please Please Me' draw, and we move on to the next LP. And so on and so forth.

In the event of a tie, the tied songs will be eliminated together, UNLESS it is a tie between the final two songs in any draw, in which case the voting time will be extended.

Once again, if any of you don't have access to this LP and would like to hear the songs you don't know, tell me in this thread and I will link you up via PM to a zip file containing the whole album.

Let's up the voting for people - the more participation, the better!

And with that, we have arrived, at long last, at the last LP draw - Past Masters Vol. 2. The winner of this draw will be the final song to earn a spot in the final draw(unless the 'redo' round changes anything...more on that later...).

Just a reminder....although alternate/single versions of 'Get Back', 'Across The Universe', and 'Let It Be' are on Past Masters Vol. 2, they have been omitted from the draw due the fact that they all appeared on the Let It Be record.

I have decided to leave 'Revolution' in the draw, even though it appeared on the White Album, due to the extreme difference between the sound of the two. It's almost like they're two different songs.

Let's enjoy this round. Past Masters Vol. 2, made largely of tracks that made the U.S. 'Hey Jude' LP, is simply veritable classic after veritable classic.

I love The Inner Light too -- George, sitar, spirituality opening up to the universe, I'm there! I love all the songs except for You Know My Name, which I don't think belongs in the same breath with the rest of them.

But it's so hard to rank the songs on this album. For kicks, I tried to put them in my preferred order (I hope y'all will still talk to me....). It was tough as I could easily switch some of these around.

For the record, I'd rather see Hey Jude played live because of the crowd excitement, but when it comes to listening on the iPod, I get more excited when Ballad comes on. I think it's such a killer song.

The Ballad of John and Yoko
Hey Jude
We Can Work It Out
Paperback Writer
Lady Madonna
Day Tripper
Revolution
Rain
Old Brown Shoe
The Inner Light
Don't Let Me Down
You Know My Name

Hey Jude better win.

And namckuR, do you still intend on going back to the White Album so either Dear Prudence, Monkey or Guitar can win? And Abbey Road so Something can win?

Only one. At the conclusion of this draw - when all of the LP draws will at last be done - I will put a poll up asking asking which LP is misrepresented in the final draw. Once that poll has a winner, I will start another poll with just the final two songs from the winning LP's draw, so that they be may be voted on again. For example, if 'Revolver' wins the initial draw, then you would all get to vote on Eleanor Rigby vs Tomorrow Never Knows again, or if 'Let It Be' wins, you would all get to vote on Let It Be vs Across The Universe again. But I will only allow this to happen for ONE LP - the winner of the initial poll - because if I allow three or five or seven different LPs to have their represetative in the final draw changed, the point of all of these polls we've been doing for over a year now would be defeated. And the FINAL ROUND of the winning LP is ALL you get to vote on...it will not go back ANY further than that.

Also, the initial poll will have a 'None - all of the LPs are accurately represented as is' option....and if this option wins the poll, no LP final round will be revoted on.

I think that I am pulling for "We Can Work It Out" on this one. I would also say that "Blackbird" seems to me to be the only tune that does not belong in the final.

It probably will.

But I think it has 5 or 10 too many Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah, Hey Judes. Would have benefited from some tighter editing.

Yup. I like Hey Jude but that ending is :crack:

I hope you're joking.

It's the equivalent of the ending of Return Of The King.

Sam and Frodo have sex at the end of Hey Jude?

I'm not joking at all. It's bliss. It feels like the repetition of that refrain could go on for infinity.

The ending of Return Of The King, however...15 different false endings and unneccessary homosexual undertones...that's all I have to say

It is a probable fact.

Certainly a plausible correlation. :nerd:

I went with the popular choice on this one. I have a love/hate relationship with Hey Jude, but, in the right moments, it is pretty amazing.

Hey Jude should win, but I love love looooove We Can Work It Out!

The dynamic between John and Paul is incredible on that one. I always think about them, and their relationship when I hear it.
