Best Beatles Song Survivor - 'Abbey Road' Draw - Round 1

After over two months of voting, we have FINALLY completed the White Album draw - the longest single draw of the competition. While My Guitar Gently Weeps was eliminated last round. This means that Blackbird has advanced to the final draw, joining Twist And Shout, All My Loving, A Hard Day's Night, Eight Days A Week, Yesterday, In My Life, Eleanor Rigby, A Day In The Life, and Strawberry Fields Forever.

With that said, it is now time to begin a draw that many of you have been waiting for since the very inception of this competition 11 months ago - the Abbey Road draw.

Rules: Vote for your LEAST favorite song. This poll will be open for 24 hours, at which point the song with the most votes will be eliminated from the competition and the next round will be started. This process will continue until only one song remains in the 'Please Please Me' draw, and we move on to the next LP. And so on and so forth.

In the event of a tie, the tied songs will be eliminated together, UNLESS it is a tie between the final two songs in any draw, in which case the voting time will be extended.

I always knew this was going to be the hardest match for me.

It's going to get VERY difficult, VERY quick. But as for now, I'll have to say goodbye to Her Majesty. I love it, but it's just the easiest one to let go right now.


I really don't know which one I want to win the whole match. I have a feeling none of the medley songs are going to win, because they aren't quite as strong on their own as some of the Side A songs. If I had to choose one from the medley though, I'd probably go with She Came In Through The Bathroom Window.

From the whole album? I don't know, man. Probably either Here Comes The Sun (the obvious choise for winner and probably will be the winner) so maybe I'll root for Oh! Darling this match.

Yeah, sounds good. That song is pure bliss.

Moving on, what do we all want to win? At this stage I'm going for I Want You (She's So Heavy). It fucking rocks. If I had to pick a medley song I'd pick She Came in Through the Bathroom Window. It's a very good album from George Harrison; both song and guitar wise.

Come Together, Here Comes the Sun, Something, I Want You (She's So Heavy), Oh! Darling, You Never Give Me Your Money, Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight and She Came in Through the Bathroom Window is the good stuff. Very even round I think.

And good to see I have a supporter in my support of Oh! Darling.
