Is it Achtung Baby, The Bends, OK Computer -- or some other album altogether?

My pick is either Achtung Baby or The Bends. Well, if it weren't for my loyalty (and/or bias), it would be a tie I'd think...

I'm the sme but diff Michael dear.

I couldn't choose between AB and OK.
Personally I choose AB, but I dont know if I could say that OK is lesser an album. I just can't.

I could argue on behalf of any of these 5 albums:

1. Achtung Baby - U2
2. OK Computer - Radiohead
3. The Bends - Radiohead
4. Adore - Smashing Pumpkins
5. Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness - Smashing Pumpkins

Hi Amanda and Bethany! Hope you are both doing well.

My top 5 albums of the 90s:

1. Achtung Baby -- U2
2. The Bends -- Radiohead
3. OK Computer -- Radiohead
4. Fumbing Towards Ecstacy -- Sarah McLachlan
5. The Future -- Leonard Cohen

In a top 7

Hmm, best-of lists are a tricky proposition.

For differing reasons, I'd agree that Achtung Baby (perhaps paired with Zooropa) and OK Computer deserve a place. The Bends does not. I love it to bits, but it's bog-standard mid-90s rock basically.

A tentative personal list:

Achtung Baby/Zooropa (Maybe even Passengers too)
OK Computer
Together Alone (Crowded House. Yes, them.)
Automatic for the People - REM
Maxinquaye - Tricky
Grace - Jeff Buckley
Dummy - Portishead

But there's no doubt in my mind - OK Computer was the Joshua Tree of the 90s. Whether that is a good or a bad thing, take your pick.

That's an excellent choice, but personally I like Lateralus better.

In no specific order:
U2- AB
Jeff Buckley- Grace
STP- Purple
NIN- The Fragile
Live- Throwing Copper (The Distance To Here is my personal favorite though)
Radiohead- The Bends
Gin Blossoms- New Miserable Experience
