right you are, december 1979...
i remember rolling stone magazine calling it the best album of the 80's, that tripped me up.
nevertheless, it existed in the 70's for mere weeks,
i'll stik with my pik.

It's gotta be Thriller. Aside from it's musical impact, it started a walk.

Best 80s album most haven't heard: Ocean Rain, by Echo & the Bunnymen.

Remain in Light, Joshua Tree, Thriller, or

Better decade for music than it gets credit for.

Glad somebody picked that up. I would also put Grant Hart's "Intolerance" in a list of favourite 80's albums.

U2 - The Joshua Tree

I know it's a predictable choice, but it's undeniable.

oh god yes! Fucking fantastic album, can't get enough of Chartered Trips and Something I Learned Today. Really took me by surprise when I got this album and that was only a year ago!

now here's my other two choices since The Joshua Tree sort of goes without saying and I don't want to list too much electro-pop so I'll keep this short and sweet.

My Bloody Valentine - Isn't Anything
David Bowie - Scary Monsters
