Beatles' Harrison's "Taxman" used in H n R Block commercial

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

You won't like this, but I've gotta say it: Wasn't it just a week or two ago when a whole heap of people over in the main forum expressed complete comfort and/or joy at the idea of U2 songs appearing in commercials? Perhaps not H&R Block commercials, but commercials nonetheless.

Is 'Taxman' in an ad for an accountancy firm (that's what they are, right?) any worse than Elevation in an ad for football, or basketball or whatever?

I thought it was funny, except for two things:

-It's a terrible cover version (not the original)

-George Harrison just died a couple months ago.

Fucking lame

Very inappropriate since it has only been a month since George's passing.

Because George's work doesn't deserve to be butchered like that.

It's funny how Michael Jackson is not only beginning to look like the devil, but he's beginning to act like the devil as well.

Michael Jackson? What a jerk. I hope he dies pennyless in a pile of his own greedy mediocrity.
