Meet "Gimpy". She's a local grizzly where my aunt and fam currently live (on research sabbatical). This is my aunt's brother-in-law and said bear:

I'm scared of bears. The only wild one I've seen in Michigan was a cub, thank goodness. A guy at my church almost had his head ripped off by a bear.

With bears being such a national threat, I'm not sure that a fishing pole would be my weapon of choice...

I hear women's periods attract bears.

They can smell the menstruation.*

go to the virginity thread.

It's from Anchorman, I'll go edit so I don't look like that much of a mysogynistic jerkoff.

OK... you get a Pass on that comment. Any guy under 20 - hell, 35! - who knows the correct definition AND spelling of 'misogynistic' can't be all bad.

ive been afraid of bears ever since i saw the movie the great outdoors

how can this thread be on page two, and not have any mention of me?

what has this place come to?

i don't get any respect...

I like bears.

Maybe its because I live so far from bears that I like them.
I don't live far from sharks though. When can we make a shark thread?

I remember a couple times as a kid having to be called inside because a bear had been spotted. Silly bears...ruining our outdoor fun.

I like bears. As long as you respect them and keep out of their way.. they'll usually keep out of yours.

Easy to say when you're a mere squirrel....:eyebrow:

Haha....when I first read your post, I thought you said "shakers." I thought, "What's so scary about Shakers?" Then I remembered a video we saw in sociology class a few years ago....:yikes:
