Vazza, you'd seen that already. Don't act all shocked. In fact, I think you first dug it up.

i'm still :lol:ing

holy shit

the funny thing is, i can totally see him making the same post now, but making fun of the op.

you've come a long way in 5 years ax.

Also, I need to restore some sanity to this thread:

Explosions In The Sky are better than any band already mentioned (besides Saddo's brief mention of Porcupine Tree). The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place is such a fucking good album, oh yes.

i see them on april 9th. i'm missing an important senior class event for the show actually.

and don't try to distract us from your sacrif- your embarassment, that is.

More to the point, I had this brief anomaly in my mid-teenage years. Now I've just reverted back to what I was originally.

Fuck Yahweh.

(I hope some of you get that reference. Ian should.)

i don't have a search, i haven't ever seen it, and i am still laughing.

Oh, I thought it was you, not Ian, who waded through GIS finding threads to hijack and found that.

But I know you DID see it. Perhaps drunk at the time.

Is the reference simply double meaning of caring not for Abrahamic God/shitty U2 song, or is there something more in it? I guess the latter and sorry I didn't get it then.

Hahahaha.

To be fair, I probably would have written something similar at the same time. :(

By 2003 i was all ready done with organised religion. It's all about disorganised religion now.

Amusingly, despite my mum and sister being fairly religious, i've never given a shit as far back as i can remember.

I first stumbled across it when we were forum gypsies.

I honestly thought you were being sarcastic

I really never should've said anything.

Goddamnit, why did that brief phase have to coincide with my early Interference days? Why couldn't it have preceded them and been consigned to the dustbin of history where nobody could have found them after my pre-Interference online home was closed and taken offline?

So as usual, I'm the only one who cares about religion?

"I've always doubted you, and never really believed you existed, but if you're out there, HELP ME SUPERMAN!"

It's difficult to say how far I was into organized religion because as far back as I can remember regarding this shit, I thought "fuck all these different churches, it's just Christianity and that's what matters". I didn't attend church much, but I was still fairly righteous and pious and shit.

thank goodness I was never forced to go to church. Lately when I've had to go for christenings and things it always makes me feel creepy, kinda like I'm intruding in some sort of cult.

Stained glass windows impress me though

It's from an EYKIW thread where I remarked "Fuck Yahweh", specifically with reference to the U2 song but obviously with the multi-layered meaning, and that thread devolved into Ian and I just swearing a lot.
