I've been to ten U2 shows. The first was seats, the subsequent nine GA. I would not even consider going back to seats. Show up around 1-2pm and you'll get a good spot, especially if you know how to walk fast.

In Boston, on 26/05, I turned up around 5-5:30pm and was front row in front of Edge.

I still can't explain quite how that worked out, really. For 28/05, we were much earlier, I forget precisely when, and couldn't get that same spot as it was already two rows deep by the time we got there. But I got on the rail nearby, so it was all good.

You're lucky in that you still have time to grow. I'm 21. This is about it for me! I was barely 5' when I turned fifteen. I had a growth spurt when I was about 16-17.

My homeroom teacher in year 12 left me a message at the end of the year that said "the greatest tragedy of your schooling career is that you grew and Emmanuel College lost its hobbit."
