Nah, I've actually read that baptism in Judea during Christ's time actually involved smoking up as one of the key parts of the process. There's a big online article on it that seemed fairly well sourced (but who knows where from), I might try and find it.

I've heard this too. I also love how some of the epistles contain swearing and it's watered down in translation. Just makes all those "OMG J00 CANT SAY TEH EFF WURD" people look even more fucking silly.
