Lately, I can't stop listening to The Doors and Tears For Fears. I've also realised just how brilliant an album Arcade Fire's Neon Bible is, after listening for the first time in a while. BLACK MIRROWWR.

I was thinking the same thing today, dude. What a great album!

Like you guys have said it's been three years since the Bomb so I can't list everything. Too lazy to think right now.

But the BEST band that I've come to love since then, and the one that has had the most profound effect on me, is a little band from Athens, Georgia known as R.E.fuckingM.

Goddam what a gorgeous catalogue of music those guys have created.

The best American band ever? It's very possible.

Can't say i've really got into any new band or singer for a long time. But i've certainly re-discovered Neil Young, Iron Maiden, Bruce Springsteen and David Bowie lately.

I was half serious when I said U2. Sometimes I find myself rediscovering their past every now and then. Other than that, bands I've gotten into since the Bomb...

Porcupine Tree   :combust:
Keane
Tori Amos (started exploring beyond Earthquakes and Pink)
The Killers
Kate Bush
Arcade Fire (Neon Bible  )

my reaction to reading the
thread title was like.. "fuck, we're waiting for a u2 album aren't we...or are we?"

i still love the band dearly, but i've completely forgot about the "new album"/u2 in the studio/ future since i've been involved in too much other music

Well, for me the big one has been MUSE - Ive become somewhat obsessed with them whilst waiting for new U2!

Also The Presets, UNKLE and Arcade Fire are ones that come to mind immediately, tho I'm sure there are plenty of others.
