Have you ventured past Moon Safari yet and if so, what do you think of their other albums?

my reaction to reading the
thread title was like.. "fuck, we're waiting for a u2 album aren't we...or are we?"

i still love the band dearly, but i've completely forgot about the "new album"/u2 in the studio/ future since i've been involved in too much other music

Haha exactly! I almost see Interference.com more as a general music discussion forum.

"The Prisoner" is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard.

Every song on that Maiden album is superb

I wouldn't exactly say I've gotten into these because of the wait between U2 albums, but nevertheless:

Andrew Bird
Battles
Bjork
The Black Angels
Bob Dylan
Broken Social Scene
Cat Power

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
David Bowie
The Decemberists
Do Make Say Think
Feist
Ghostland Observatory
Gorillaz
Grizzly Bear
José González
Kings of Leon
LCD Soundsystem
MIA
Mogwai
My Morning Jacket
The National
Okkervil River

Ray LaMontagne
Regina Spektor
Ryan Adams
Spoon

Stars
Sufjan Stevens
Tapes 'n Tapes
TV on the Radio
Vampire Weekend
Whiskeytown
Yo La Tengo

The bolds have become obsessions and/or all time favorites. Especially the National. They're a top ten all time band for me now.

Goddam what a gorgeous catalogue of music those guys have created.

The best American band ever? It's very possible.
Ditto! w00t R.E.M.!

Well, for me the big one has been MUSE - Ive become somewhat obsessed with them whilst waiting for new U2!

Also The Presets, UNKLE and Arcade Fire are ones that come to mind immediately, tho I'm sure there are plenty of others.

...well it IS 5am!
