though it's quite possible some credible stories and quotes have been published in the press from time to time.

Local band called Laibach (dark, quasi Nazi-flirt look, and sound like Rammstein) turned down an offer from U2 to open in stadiums in 1993 because it didn't fit their own thing.

The band member also mentioned how Die Einsturzende Neubauten opened a single show and went off the tour because the U2 crowd kept throwing stuff at them.

Flanagan mentions in his book Die Einsturzende Neubauten getting tossed off the tour because one of their members tossed a wrench into the audience..

interesting... don't know those guys; hope the quasi-nzi is in look only, that would've made a very odd opening act, even for ZooTV.
