No, she's never seen them, but I think she liked the show even more than I did.

"They should have taped that for DVD. It was so perfect, they would have no problems selling it at all".

That's great. You have a cool Mom. I wish mine was more like that sometimes.

Anyway, less than a week to go before the big homecoming in Montreal!

Haha. People tease her at work about being "the cool mom". I finally got her to agree to seeing Radiohead next time they tour. They came out to Tower last summer, but it just didn't work out.

Enjoy Montreal! I would go see AF again in a heartbeat.

Thanks - nice review there, but too bad you didn't get Wake Up - the crowd went berserk(like Streets at a U2 show). Yeah, Regine has some good choreography down, especially during Haiti. She knows how to entertain a crowd, for sure. For a while I couldn't find her, until I noticed she was playing drums in the back.

Richard Parry definitely puts his heart and soul into the performances. That was most apparent in the photo I had of him during Wake Up. I wish I hade taken more shots of him when he switched to accordion where he went even more berserk, but I had packed my camera by then. But I have some good shots of him playing guitar.

Out of curiosity, was it venue security who busted you? I got busted by security 2-3 times for my camera, but each time I just laid off for 5 minutes or so. There's no way I'll give security any property, unless it's a fake memory card or something .

LemonMelon, I'm so glad to hear you had a great time. Good review. But your setlist wasn't really "short". I think 14 songs is their standard length (Somebody correct me if I'm wrong). I think DC just got an extra song is all.

I wonder what's taking so long for the Editors to post my "official" review. I'm tempted just to post the damn thing right here.

@ ntalwar: it was just security personnel, but I actually got pulled away. No threats or anything, just a "come with me"

@ lance: I think 14 is becoming the standard. It could be just because Win wants to rest his voice (which was great, BTW). I know they also played 14 in North Carolina last week.

At the risk of sounding like an Arcade Fire apologist, I do understand that the set-lists are short but you have to put it into context.

They have two albums and an EP out. Consider that U2, a band that has 10 more albums "only" plays 20-24 songs per show. Comparatively speaking, that isn't much more than Arcade Fire.

I don't know. That's the way that I look at it.

Yeah, that's understandable. It's why I want to see them again after they release another album so they'll play a radically different and/or longer set.

I have no idea why they would play Neon Bible and not play My Body Is A Cage. That's madness to these ears.

But U2 did play 16-18 songs per show on their October tour.

True, but didn't they play some songs twice?
