i dont know, u2 drove through new york on a truck, and had it shown on mtv. arcade fire appears on snl.

u2 wants people to buy htdaab, arcade fire wants people to buy neon bible.

their purpose is the exact same. only the scale is different.

So, uh ... Arcade Fire. Good band, right?

See, now the aggressive marketing completely went over my head, and I didn't think to check tour schedules and ticket sale dates in time, and now I've missed out.

Maybe they need to be more aggressive. Perhaps had they played on a flat bed truck through downtown Seattle while hawking their new brand of sneakers with Microsoft sponsorship, I might have had a chance.

Hee! And forgetting to remind myself not to let your posts get under my skin.

At least Neon Bible comes out very soon. I can make another two weeks without listening to that leaked version.

The SNL performances were good. They looked a bit nervous for Intervention. I still haven't heard an amazing live version of it compared to the record; hope they sort out the live arrangement for the full-fledged tour.

Every other song on the record takes on a new vitality live, though. My Body is a Cage live is just- it's amazing. They opened a show with it and I was all like

im going to the dc show! my ticketbastard skillz0rz weren't quite on par with some of the other folks here (lucky bastards!) so i'll be back about 13 rows, but im just happy to have scored tix. im so geeked, i can't wait!

i got home at about 12:45 last nite, and was all "shnap! i forgot the arcade fire is on snl!" fortunately, keep the car running was at the very end of the show. freaking immense it was.
