Good for you I love Janis to! Not to bring it back to U2 but her delivery and style reminds me a lot of Bono's. little piece of my heart is awesome and I think Faith Hill should be arrested for her bland, nauseating version!

Good for you! Janis is one of the greatest voices in music history.

You should find her version of leaving on a jetplane. Now THAT takes another piece of my heart (Yeah, I said it) every time I hear it.

Take another little piece of my heart now baby!!!

Well - now that you've heard her, can you see the influence she's had on those that followed?

spooky how close that is to me!

Janis is a big hero of mine

Check out "Ball & Chain" from the Greatest Hits and "Get It While You Can" -- two of my faves! I'll upload if you want

And if you get the chance to read "Love, Janis" do... it's her sister writing about Janis's life... an excellent and insightful read.

"A Woman Left Lonely" and "Tell Mama" are great as well!

Hell, her entire catalogue is great stuff!

And if you ever get to see or hear a live recording... wow. The heart Janis put into her music is incredible. She was a performer totally committed to communicating with her audience. I used to have some bootlegs around here somewhere...
