can you imagine Bono writing such stuff as there....arghhhhhhhhhh ? plain overrated...painfully boring
..Even Miami lyrics are better than these Not to talk of One or Kite or Stay or Bad

Oh yeah I'll tell you something
I think you'll understand
Then I say that something
I wanna hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand
Oh, please, say to me
You'll let me be your man
And please, say to me
You'll let me hold your hand
Now let me hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand
And when I touch you feel happy, inside
It's such a feeling
That my love, I can't hide
I can't hide, I can't hide
Yeah, you got that something
I think you'll understant
When I say that something
I wanna hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand
And when I touch you feel happy, inside
It's such a feeling
That my love, I can't hide
I can't hide, I can't hide
Yeah, you got that something
I think you'll understant
When I feel that something
I wanna hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand

I want to hold your hand came out very early in the career of the Beatle's. The lyrics advanced very well along the years and they ended up writing amazing songs with great lyrics. Yesterday, Hey Jude, etc. come to mind. Find a copy of the lyrics to the White album and you will know what I am talking about!

Oh, and I love Bono just as much as the next person, but some of his lyrics are just as bad.... especially the early one's. "I know a girl, a girl called Party, Party girl" Come On....

I respect the Beatles, but I can't get into them. Nor do I think they're the gods-on-earth that some people hype them up to be. meh.

Not more than 30 minutes ago did I email my friend proclaiming the very same thing!!! weird!!

here's what she said, and I have to agree:

Quote:
The Beatles broke so much new musical ground in their relatively short career together (ten years). If there were not a Beatles, there never would have been a U2. I honestly believe that.

The Beatles made so much possible for those that followed them. Think about music before The Beatles (and the Stones). Think about what they did, and then think about it after. :-)

Really, they took chances, expanded on so much. Broke all the old rules, and showed people music didn't NEED rules. What they did for rock music
cannot be denied. Can you tell I have a lot of respect for what they accomplished??
we later agreed that U2 definety does have more Soul U2

You said it. Yeah, lyrics like, "I feel helpless, I feel angry" are so much better than anything the Beatles wrote. Please.

The thing is I never tried to listen to Creed or POM purposely but a few of their songs caught my attention. I am not a Creed fan or POM fan for that purpose.

..As for beatles, just the opposite.. I tried listening that "ticket to ride" , "hold your hand" & white album and all such stuff but couldnt get into it.

not my kind of music..
