I miss rage. *sigh*

Jet are ok but I get a little but frustrated at times because there are so many other good Aussie bands but they don't get any exposure here in the US. There seems to only be room for one band at a time and they hype them to the extreme. It used to be The Vines and now it's Jet.

lol@no giimmick Diemen...if there was no gimmick you Americans would never had heard of them. They're cast faultlessly in the role of rock revivalists, right down to the haircuts and the album covers...

Its not that Jet are bad...I enjoy them too, but there are plenty others who haven't had the luck (eg the Casanovas). Well said Calluna.

Everything about this band and especially that song "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" reminds me of my youth. I get up and Dance, Dance, Dance when this song comes on!

I heard "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" for the first time the other morning. I was this close to starting to dance around my bedroom. About three-quarters of the way through I suddenly realized the stunning resemblance to "Lust for Life" - and decided I didn't really care.

Just wait til "Roll Over DJ" hits your airwaves.

You will be drilling holes in your heads before you know it.

still, if that would stop "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" to be on the radio a million times every day it can't be all bad

I like this band so far though
though our relationship is yet to go beyond the "like" stages

I am really enjoying the album. I had it on yesterday and I love the moods it took me through. I wanted to dance, I wanted to sing, I wanted to sit and drift away on the music= good album...imho
I had a laugh, one song made me want to head bang and play air guitar. I was hearing Suzi Quatro, but then I got an image of Gary Glitter

That pulled me up short.
I particularly like the piano playing ( I had an early Bowie moment at one stage because of the piano) and the drummer and the singer. I like their style and I really like the artwork they chose for the album. Looks like something I drew

I am very much looking forward to seeing them live one day. They played at the Sawtell pub last year with Dallas Crane as support. I really wanted to go and didn't. I think their small venue days are over for now.
Jet

edited 'cause i typed"hand bang"??
