From what I remember, they filmed little pieces of the song both forwards and backwards and then somehow put it all together... it was fascinating

Did they explain how they could film all that stuff in one shot... it's incredible!!! and all the people singing to the music, it must of taken months of rehearsal to get it all right with the timing... i've watched this video a million times and it still blows my mind.... i think they would have had to tamper with the video because it is just too perfect. Best music video ever!! (along with A-Ha's Take On Me)
