I?m a big Springsteen fan. I love the guy, one of the best songwriters ever in my humble opinion. His voice is incredible, his lyrics are great and he plays guitar really well. I got the Live In New York DVD, absolutely amazing. Really rock n? roll. I was wondering if anybody here is a fan of him and The E Street band too?. Anyway, if you are write down a list with your top 10 favorite Bruce Springsteen songs. Here?s mine:

Born To Run
Badlands
Jungleland
Thunder Road
Murder Inc.
Backstreets
Glory Days
Two Hearts
Better Days
My City Of Ruins

Okay, that was hard. There are a lot of great songs missing. Lets see yours now.

a lot of people here do

they're probably just sick of telling every newbie what their favorite songs are. don't take it personally.

edit: i don't mean "newbie" in the sense that you just dropped in. you registered a month before me. i mean every "do you like" thread...

crap. i'll stop now. my foot is lodged pretty tightly in my mouth at this point. :|

How come I didn't see this thread for a day?

I love Bruce, as do many others here. Now for 10 favourite tracks, that's a tough one...

Born To Run
The River
Worlds Apart
The Ghost Of Tom Joad
Human Touch
Born In The USA
Nebraska
Roulette
Souls Of The Departed
Thundercrack

And then I haven't even thought of the live versions, because live he ROCKS!!!

C ya!

I love Bruce Springsteen! I've been a fan for the past 20 years. Here's some favorites:

Born To Run
Thunder Road
Streets of Fire
Born in the USA
Atlantic City
Badlands
Worlds Apart
Backstreets
Brilliant Disguise
Prove It All Night

my favorite song of him is thunder road and id like to honorably mention the river as well but leave it at that

I listened to a lot of Bruce on the way to Nevada and back.

My annotated top 10 (in no particular order):

1. Because The Night (although Bruce's live versions are very great and sexy, Patti Smith's version is the best of all)
2. She's the One (my all time absolute turn it up favorite Bruce song)
3. Fade Away ( I love the way Miami Steve and Bruce sing this one together)
4. Downbound Train
5. Fire (this one works on a lot of, um, different levels)
6. I'm on Fire (see above times 5)
7. Brilliant Disguise (forgive the cheesy percussion and this a brilliant song)
8. Worlds Apart
9. Badlands (kicks ass even in the studio)
10. Two Hearts are Better Than One (Miami Steve again)

My favourite Bruce songs:
Streets Of Philadelphia
Jungleland
My Hometown
Racing In The Street
Candy's Room
My City Of Ruins
Born To Run
Candy's Room
Born To Run
Born In The USA

Darkness On The Edge Of Town is my favourite album

My Top Ten:

1.Backstreets
2.Candys Room
3.Thunder Road
4.Incident on 57th Street
5.Reason to Believe
6.Human Touch

I really like the Winterland 1978 version, with the 'I Get Mad' interlude. My wish is to hear it once as a Desire/She's The One combo (either performed by Bruce or by U2). The beat is the same and I think it'll turn out great!

5. Fire (this one works on a lot of, um, different levels)
6. I'm on Fire (see above times 5)

You're one of the few people I "know" that call Little Steven of Miami Steve, that's cool. You must be a long time fan. Have you seen or heard Bono singing Because The Night with Bruce and The E Street? I have the video, Bono does a good job.

He was hot on the R&R Hall of Fame the other night. I mean like way hot.

Oh, and I like his music, too. A lot.
