I just finished The Crying of Lot 49 and absolutely loved it...but I know that it's considered Pynchon's most accessible work. I've been warily eyeing Gravity's Rainbow, his seminal work, I guess, but also it seems his most convoluted. My query: Should I give it a shot? Are the rewards worth the effort?
