Just curious to know whether any of you have been on TV to any capacity.
I mean commercials, Interviews, Performances...dancing with Bono ;) etc...

This kind of question is like asking an adult their age. Especially for women. Bad etiquette.

I'm sure you were just wondering, out of curiousity.

But the nice thing about the Net is that "stars" can co-exist for once without their identity immediately known. I for one, do not care if there is a star here.

And also, you have to figure that they wouldn't just answer here saying:
" Yes! Yes! I currently have a very popular primetime TV show!"

For those of us that know "stars" or have known, we see how necessary privacy is and that they should be left to co-exist normally without consistently being reminded of who they are.

I use the rather alien phrasing of "co-exist" because "stars" are often treated as if they were aliens.

I for one do not intend to keep up with that tradition. Live and let live, even if you think they might be famous. We're all one.

lol. yikes, I didn't find it all that offensive.

my .00001 nanosecond of fame is exactly that...the amount of time that the camera focuses on me and my sign saying "You never lost the job" at Boston 4 on some MTV special on the Elevation tour. weehaw. :p

I'm sorry if we took different meanings from the question.

However, there are those who when they say STARS, they mean actual famous people.

At which point, my defense gear kicks in because I've been with those who fall under that category who can't get a decent nights sleep. I get protective, that's all.

So, basstrap, I'm sorry if I took your question literally.

i've been on tv. just local sports stuff tho, football and golf. i don't even have the tapes anymore.

I hear ya girl, but at the same time, this is not something that should come as any shock to anyone who has become famous. We all know what happens, and if you enter into the entertainment industry and become famous you just have to accept the consequences. I am not saying that that makes it ok, it's just the way it is and always has been and if these people can't handle it then perhaps a new profession is in order.

As for famous people being here in Interference.... if there are any (which I highly doubt) will most not likely speak up, and kudos to them.

I for one, am not famous. :sexywink: But who knows what the future holds....... lmao!

ummmm...ok...
let me see...
I employed sarcasm in my thread title by making sure we all knew I was putting quotes on STARS. Or as I call them, 'sarcaso-quotes'

I then preceded to talk about little things like interviews, commercials, concerts etc...

Basically I'm just inquiring about your 15 minutes or probably less.

I don't expect Bono to reveal himself.

Sorry for my bad etiquette!
*bashes himself with lamp*

That was you?! Now I gotta go watch it again!! :D :D

Wow sula, I have that on tape.......I better go watch it before work!!
Isn't diamond on that same show, too??

My friend made a documentary about pornography viewing in our college's computer labs, and he interviewed me for it. The video was shown on TV and is on the Net (I had posted a link to it awhile back).

Sula!! I just saw you on my television..............
pretty cool!
Did you know you were going to be included in the documentary?

I'm a nationally published writer, no joke.

I was also on local TV once when I was in sixth grade for International Day at my elementary school, singing a song in Slovak and wearing a traditional Slovak costume.

Well, I was standing there holding my sign as people began to trickle in and take their spots in the heart...the MTV camera crew was going up and down those of us already there, stopping sometimes to interview a person. I just stood there dumbly and then they asked me to hold up my sign. *deer in the headlights* Apparently they liked it cuz they put this big light on me and asked me to "tell them about what it meant". Me: Ummm, Bono said that they wanted the job of the best band in the world back, and ummm, well, I don't think they ever lost it." Later before the show, one of their camera guys came back and wanted to film it again. So, I figured it might make it somewhere in the show, but then again...might end up on the cutting floor.

Long story short though, I still haven't seen the footage! :scream: If you would be willing to do a video trade with me, I'd be most grateful. lol.

yeah ditto to that. speaking of which though, I saw him last night at the Beth Orton concert I was at. But I was a good well behaved stalker and didn't approach him.

as for me, when I was in the sixth grade, I cohosted a news magazine type show about my school every month that aired on a cable access channel.

oooh... how did he look?

there was some MTV special during the ZOOTV tour. Bono had a video camera onstage and filmed me in the front row. It was broadcast on MTV.

Blah - I still suck...

not really...

but the only time i was on tv was when melpop (from this forum)was interviewed on tv because of her rolling experience with bono and she showed her tape, and you could see me for about 5 seconds on the tape grinning and clapping my hands like an idiot.

I rule !
