I am a member of Netflix and love it. There is a section on Netflix where you can invite friends and view the movies they have rented and make suggestions. Anyway I am always looking for recommended movies to watch and if you want to do this and are member, send me a PM.

Here is the page on Netflix I am referring to:

:(

The madspit was not directed at you. It was for the fact that I have 1) no money and 2) no time for movies.

I've had it seen they started........
My queue is about 30 films right now........
I have at home right now Metallica's "Some kind of monster" and "James and the Giant Peach"..............

I love Netflix! I subscribed to the $9.99 a month plan. I get either one or two DVDs per week sent to me that way, depending on how fast the mail is (I always watch them the day I get them and send them back the next day to get the most for my money!) I love it because I live in a small town where the selection at the video stores is crap, and I hate having to drive to the store to return things.

i just became a member 2 weeks ago... used to be one long time ago but decided i wanted it again for my room mate and i instead of doing Pay per view, iris... i'll pm you..

I was trying to choose between Netflix and Blockbuster Online and chose the latter since it was a little cheaper ($14.99 for the 3-movie-at-a-time plan vs. $17.99 for Netflix). Does anyone know which one is better?

the thing i am trying to figure out

is the mail waiting time

if you watch your two? dvds, lets say over two nights, and drop in mail immediately, how soon till next two arrive?

Depends on where your nearest Netflix facility is. I live in Seattle, and the nearest one to me is the next big town south, so I have a really quick turnaround. It rocks.

Watch a movie Sunday, put it in the mail Monday, it gets there Tuesday, have a new movie on Wednesday.

so 4-5 day cycling means 2 dvd plan at 10 bucks a month
means 10 to 14 movies a month. (if you work it)

can't beat the value

i pay about $130 to adelphia for combo pack

cable internet- it is fast and 99.999% reliable

and multi premium channels 5-6 hbos, showtimes, sundance, ifc, etc. (i seldom watch)

I am a netflix member and also have cable (for TV and internet), premium channels, etc. I mean, I spend so much money a month on entertainment and this summer the only time I've watched TV at all is to see Six Feet Under! I'm definitely not getting my money's worth all around this summer but as long as I can afford it I just like knowing it's there.

The netflix turnaround is unbelievably, consistently, fast. I returned a movie on Tuesday and I'll have one in my box by Saturday.

i was thinking about adding to my entertainment spending

I just found another dvd rental site for $20 a month
that carries titles that netflix and blockbuster do not.

Oh, oh  me!

I  my netflix!

I don't have cable (which means no tv here) so I'm on the "extended plan". My only gripe is that recently, I've gotten a series of scratched/broken disks. I reported one scratched and the replacement disk was also scratched.

I've not done the friends thing yet. Does that mean you'd be able to see every movie I've rented? :uhoh:  :reject:
