Jeff Buckley was a great songwriter.....
Grace is one of the best albums of all time. Let me tell you a little story, back in 1994 Radiohead was sitting in the front row of a Jeff Buckley Show, while they we're about to record The Bends.
When they heard Jeff play "Lover, You Should've Come Over ",
Tom Yorke and the band, stood up in the middle of the song left the show, went to the recording studio and wrote their first song for the album that night, "Fake Plastic Trees". Jeff Buckley
was a great influence.

 Jeff Buckley:heart:

I'm a huge, huge fan. I never heard that Radiohead story before. It's very interesting. Did they actually get up and leave right in the middle of the song?? That seems strange. I don't care how inspired they were, how could anyone tear themselves away from the front row of a Jeff Buckley show?

Tom Yorke told me this story while he was having a drink in Casino El Camino in Austin,Tx. back in 1997, o.k.computer tour.
He enjoys talking about music, and yes; he did regret missing the rest of the show. But he did make up for it seeing Jeff live' later in the year.

i'm a huge jeff fan...and i've heard that story before...what i heard was that during the recording of fake plastic trees, thom did two takes of the vocals and then was in tears.

jeff is definately one of the best if not the best songwriter and singer of all time. i respect him and his music more than just about any band.

i wish i would have known about him when he was yet alive. although, even if i had known about him, i was only 12 when he died...

Stories for Boys, I first saw Jeff Buckley in the summer of 1994 at a in-store acoustic performance at Waterloo Records in Austin , Texas. Later that night, Jeff Buckley performed at the Electric Lounge Club also in Austin, with only about 15 to 20 people in the house. Grace was just to be released later that week, so only a handful of people heard of him at that time. I was standing only 5 feet away from him, during his whole show. Afterward, he talked a drank with everyone that was there, he was a down to earth person, it was like a family kind of environment. I hope you have "Jeff Buckley live in Chicago" DVD , its a great show. Continue listening to Jeff, his soul lives in his music.........

Wow, that's a great story!

I think Jeff is great, and what happened was so horrible. He had so much talent...

yeah, of course! heh...the first time i watched it was so surreal, because before then he was just this incredible emotion coming out of my cd player...but to see him and laugh with him and watch him make the music i love so much...incredibly surreal...

i'll never stop listening to him because he is one of the few artists that can make me cry during the song and laugh between them. i can't think about what happened without being upset...i can't even imagine what we'd be listening to right now if he were alive...
