nope. not at all. it's hard to explain now, but on the boat even if all the ports push their handles down and the starboards push them up, the boat still won't tip over. the set gets off (meaning it leans a little) which makes rowing harder...that's one of the things you work on with drills. but actually tipping should never be a problem.
