Does Paula ever not like any performance???

Announcer goes... "Download tonight's performances on itunes!"

I'd rather listen to my Spice Girls CD.

Wow, I think Jason signed his own death warrant tonight.

Of course, you cannot compare it to fucking Pearl Jam, that's on a different level!

not to mention they only have 1:30sec to sing a song.. And that song just can't be done right in that short of a time period, no one not even PJ could pull it off and make an impact with that to work with. IMO

I think DC did a good job with what little he had to work with. He's not going anywhere.

We can only hope. But he's got a huge fanbase of girls who could care less what he sounds like. I really hope that people vote for Syesha tonight. She's trying to stay in this competition. You can tell it means alot to her. Jason is just coasting through and doesn't seem to really care what the judges or anyone else thinks. I'm sick of his non-chalant attitude and his boring performances.

I really liked what David did with Baba O'Reilly.

Me, too. Everything else was eh.

When Jason said he was going to do I Shot the Sheriff, there was something very Vinnie Barbarino-ish about him. Jason, you're cute, now go home.

Hopefully there's few enough contestants now that the sensible folks will cancel out the frantic fast-finger redialing of all Jason's squealing fangirls.

Yes!

I was just saying during the show that he looks like John Travolta with dreadlocks

David - I used to hate his "smug" ass, but as I've said, I've done a massive turnaround on this guy. "Hungry Like the Wolf"? Fucking awesome. That's the epitome of guilty-pleasure rock songs from the 80s, and he rocked it. And the sheer balls it took to sing "Baba O'Riley"? Love it. As much as the judges tell female contestants to not sing Whitney/Mariah/Celine songs, I think Daltrey is in the same category when rock songs are concerned. And he killed it! Loved both of his songs tonight.

Archuleta: Someday, he'll be a real boy. I mean, voccally, he's got the goods. Otherwise, this kid is a black hole of charisma. First song was good (still not even the best of the first round) and the second was good. To me? Not enough.

Castro: Oh man. I liked both songs just fine, but unless this kid has a fanbase a la Taylor Hicks, he's going home. Which means he very well might be staying (and winning the whole freaking thing.) Decent but not great, but that might be enough for the guy with pretty blue eyes and long eyelashes. Ugh.

Syesha: Proud Mary rocked. I kind of love her for even attempting that after Trenyce killed it a few years back. As far as "Change" went... well, the singing was, technically, very good. But I'm one of those assholes who thinks Sam Cooke shouldn't be messed with, ever, so I wasn't as keen on this as the judges were.

Best of the night: Cook and Syesha.

Going home: Jason. Archuleta, despite being the worst performance-wise, isn't going anywhere.

I'm worried about: Cook. If he gets Daughtry'd, I'm done with this show. I don't think he'll go anywhere because the show wants a David vs. David finale, but I'm scared nonetheless.

I'm with you. But she's really stepped it up recently, so good for her.

I wouldn't worry about David Cook. If he doesn't make the final two, I admit I'll be peeved, but he is going to be fine, and probably better off for not winning.

Winning doesn't mean jack squat anymore, not in the past few years anyway.
