Chick-EAS-y EZZ-y (like Eddie, but with z's). That's how Paula's been saying it, anyway.

We saw his audition - Simon was going to pass because he felt like he knew everything there was to know about him by the little bit he sang. Randy and Paula (rightfully) loved him.

Michael Johns should win this.

By a landslide.

Well, at least he will win the guys' competition. Or he will be in the Top 3. Mark my words.

And this guy Danny Noriega...

Danny Noreiga is way better than he showed tonight. His voice is one of the best in the competition. Comparing him to Sanjaya makes no sense.
That being said my favorites were
1. Michael (Amazing!!!)
2. David A.
3. Jason C.
4. Danny
5. Robbie
6. Colton
7. David C.

I hope all of these guys make it to the next round. I want to see more from all of them.

holy crap - after he performed, Ellen told him what stuff he was getting
He did a great job! I really hope he gets a record deal. He's written some great songs, and he's a talented musician and singer.

OK, what to say, what to say.

I had a good time tonight. There was, however, no one here that blew my mind out the back of my head, or made me think "Shoot, it's over. He wins." Nonetheless, it was a very fun night.

David Hernandez - Lovely vocal. A bit pitchy, but is clearly a very good singer. I've always been a big fan of In The Midnight Hour, so that's a plus. (A-)

Chikezie Eze - Chuck E' Cheese was not good. Not at all. The suit made my eyes bleed, and the vocal was a mess. He hit a few good notes, but that's about it. (D+)

David Cook - I simply adore Happy Together. I think it's one of the best pop songs of its era. DaveC's performance? Neither here nor there. He did an OK job of selling the song, and the pitch was OK, but he didn't convince me that this was a good song choice for him. (B-)

Jason Yeager - Decent cover, but boring. (C+)

Robbie Carrico - Sold the song very well. He has a very good voice, and showed it off quite admirably. (B+)

David Archuleta - Very impressive performance. A little sloppy vocally, but still impressive overall. (B+)

Danny Noriega - One of the more effeminate things I've ever seen. Vocally average, decent performance. Meh. (C+)

Luke Menard - Pitchy as hell, boring...managed to make a song I like relatively painful. Still, it had its moments, and the performance felt genuine. (C-)

Colton Berry - Worst haircut I've seen in ages. Worse than Danny's. The performance was flimsy, but the vocal was OK. But, quite frankly, I could do a better job of selling Suspicious Minds, and I don't even have a particularly good voice. (C)

Garrett Haley - Hilarious performance, and that's not a compliment. I felt like I was watching Def Leppard perform the lamest song known to man. (D+)

Jason Castro - Wonderful effort. The highlight of the night. This man is clearly a performer; his vocal was great and, for once, the backing wasn't insufferable. I voted for him 7 times. (A)

Michael Johns - Very strong vocal, good performance, AND IT WAS LIGHT MY FIRE, BITCHES. A few off notes aside, it was great. (A-)

Castro, Johns, Archuleta, and Hernandez are my top 4 at the moment. Stay tuned: this could get interesting.

I don't know any by name other than Break Anotha. The only tunes I didn't care for were the few (and thankfully there were only a few) ballads.

Just let the record show I called Michael Johns before the Final 24 began. Cleary, easily, the best male.

Sorry to ruin the suspense. He's got the looks and the chops.

Robbie will challenge because he's got the looks and actually a pretty damn good voice.

Looks do matter, sadly. I admit I pull for the hotter chicks.
Lots of teeny girls voting=Bo Bice
Bo Bice with more talent and better looks=Either of those two guys mentioned.

Worst: Garrett. That was abominable.
He couldn't carry Joe Elliot's sweat soaked Union Jack drawers on his worst day, LemonMelon although the general sentiment is spot on.

Hernandez has a very nice voice as well but he's boring as shit.
I don't give him much of a chance.

I love love love the Harry Nilsson song 'Everybody's Talkin written by (check avatar) but I think what's-his-name dropped the ball.

The two dressed in drag were forgettable as well, Elen Degeneres and the dude who sang jailhouse Rock, he's got a good voice but he's a novelty as is the young kid Archuletta.

This is true.

It's sad that he'll be gone for the next round though...kid is terrible, but he provides much-needed comic relief.

Haha, I thought I was being unfair on him from the jump because I wanted to take some lumber to his cabeza because of that John Oates weave.

Then he sang......
