As a red-blooded American teenager, yes, I do dig.

Represent for the kids! I'm only a teen for 6 more months, so I'll represent with you until August.

Somebody check for liver spots.

( I think it would be funny if American Idol went for another 40 seasons and they kept Ryan Seacrest until he was an old man. It's just a really funny mental picture.)

I'll keep Ryan Seacrest.

Ryan was one of the best parts of Knocked Up.

Wait, NOW I know why you liked that movie so much!

It wasn't just Ryan, although he did a much better job than I would've expected.

*Ahem*

Ryan Seacrest is damn good at his job.

I really like the Hollywood part - I wish they'd show us more of that and less annoying/bad auditions. I want to see the process. We know they have to sing some solos, and work with a group (or have in the past).

I find that infinitely more interesting than some dork in a Batman suit who just wants to be on TV.

I think that girl who sang "Blue Bayou" forgot to put a shirt on over that black lacy thing. It looked like a bra.

I love the bad-to-so-so singers who, when rejected, say "But I sing in my church choir!"

Honey, they let ANYBODY sing in church choir. It's a volunteer choir. And it's church. People don't get turned away from church choirs, no matter how tone-deaf you are.

Signed, a former church choir accompanist who has been faced with many a tin ear.

You know, that was a delightfully entertaining episode.

I loved Simon finally getting someone's name right and then his quiet "damn."

The twins and the overly-tan blonde girl were annoying at first, but then it got funnier, with the bit with Simon and the dog, her "is it opposite day?" and the twins outside saying "Yeah ... she's really not great."

And who knew the blonde Celine singer could actually sing? Who actually thought she'd not only successfully learn the chorus of a Dolly Parton song, but actually make it through?

I'm glad she did, if only so I can keep hearing Simon say my name on TV (spelled different, pronounced the same). Keep it coming, Simon! I love the way it rolls off your tongue!

Someone at the Milwaukee Fox news site just got on my case for calling some of the auditioners "losers." She also didn't like me poking fun at trailer parks and meth labs. She said I have to be nicer. Obviously she isn't fully aware of the ancient art of snark.

Obviously, things hit a little too close to home for said lady.
