Aww, the Stayin' Alive thing was awesome! Hugh Laurie! Hugh Grant! Helen Mirren! BUFFY SUMMERS!!! ... er, I mean Sarah Michelle Gellar!!!

The whole "the most SHOCKING results evah!!!" thing is pissing me off. But whatever.

Oh, and I liked Carrie Underwood's performance. I've never cared for that song, but I liked that version.

Wait till they raise Elvis from the dead. I can't wait to see what GoLightly Grrl writes about that!

I know it's important to show this stuff to the masses in America, to bring the reality into our living rooms, but is it really necessary to have Snow Patrol playing in the background as they carry a dying woman into the car?

I believe Simon and Ryan's emotions in those clips were sincere, but something about them just seems so disingenious. Maybe it's just the soundtrack bothering me.

I thought the whole thing felt weird too. I'm not sure if it was the background music or just the fact that Simon and Ryan just seemed so out of place. I think we're just so used to seeing them in a context that's so meaningless and superficial. I do think their emotions were real. It was just weird.

He was in one or two of those pre-taped "please donate" clips, but has not appeared live.

Oooooh, bottom two eliminated next week! Idol, you are forgiven.

first I have to ask who at Ford thinks those cheesy "videos" were/are a good idea to keep doing? ugh. the Stayin Alive thing was ok, but the one with the contestants, no thank you.

second, I'll take only a few seconds to complain that Bono was put in at the very end of the show and only for a few minutes. Ok, I'm done complaining about that.

the show I think could have been 3 hours last night, some of it seemed rushed. I didn't like how they made it out to be the "most shocking" results either. Since the show was to raise money and focus on this important topic, they could have said even part way through that there weren't going to be any eliminations and focus on the important stuff.

When they had Paula on stage, judging at the cut of her shirt, the people donating money weren't the only ones giving back

I enjoyed the show. I thought it had some great performances by people I don't usually care about. Sure there were some fast forward moments but I enjoyed it for the most part. Ben Stiller and Jack Black made me laugh outloud. And I didn't find Simon & Ryan in Africa to be particularly weird. They did good work.

I think she can sing but her performance tuesday night was way overrated and she ruined American Prayer.

She lets her emotions ruin her pitch and whatnot and then my ears start to bleed!!

I have this mixed emotion of seeing other people wear the One band.
I have worn the band since the Vertigo Tour started and I have hope that when people see me wearing it, they don't think that I am wearing just because of American Idol.

Oh well, as long as we can get more people to make a difference.
