Sanjaya will get booted eventually, but I think he makes the show more entertaining for the moment. I see it more as reality tv than as a singing competition - like Big Brother or Survivor.

Howard Stern is apparently talking about voting for Sanjaya all the time, so maybe that's one reason he has stayed on-he has a huge audience.

Aww, you guys are making me puddle up. Thank you so much for your kind comments. I'm so glad I could share this experience with you. You're so supportive.

And the "U2 by U2" book was a shout out to all of my Interference homies.

I tried to vote for Ashley but I couldn't get through...settled for a baker's dozen Sanjaya votes

I thought last night was good, most of the Idols turned in above-average performances. Even Sanjaya IMO wasn't as horrible as in the past few weeks. Standouts for me were Jordin (WOW), Melinda, and LaKisha. Agreed it wasn't LaKisha's best but even an average vocal from her is head & shoulders above just about everybody else.

OK, I usually like Gina but that had to be her worst, ever. Tempo was too slow which I guess isn't her fault, but she struggled to hit the low notes and seemed to lose it a lot...not bad at the end when she started to let loose a bit.

And I truly don't get the Blake-love. The guy's vocals are average at best, the beat-boxing and scat have clearly reached gimmick-level at this point. Honestly none of the guys have shown anything to make me want to actually listen to a whole album of theirs; the quality of the male contestants has really tailed off the last few years. Last year only Chris stood out among the men.

Will check in again @ results time...
