Coldplay Extends 2003 Tour Plans

U.K. rock quartet Coldplay has added a host of dates to its 2003 North American tour, which, as previously reported, will kick off Jan. 21 in Orlando, Fla. The trek in support of the group's sophomore Capitol set, "A Rush of Blood to the Head," is now extended through March 13 in Minneapolis. In addition, Coldplay will appear Dec. 16 on CBS' "The Late Show With David Letterman."

December will find the group making pre-tour appearances at six radio-station sponsored holiday concerts, beginning Dec. 8 at KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas in Los Angeles and proceeding to similar events in San Francisco, Boston, New York, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia.

"A Rush of Blood to the Head" debuted in September at No. 1 on the U.K. album chart and No. 5 on The Billboard 200. First single "In My Place" reached No. 17 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart; second single "The Scientist" debuted last month at No. 10 on the U.K. singles chart.

They are playing ARENAS.
Oh, that sucks so much.

They aren't big enough to play arenas.
It looks as if I will have to force myself to see them at Target Center (SUCKY ARENA for live bands)

I'm trying for the KROQ thing too, altho they won't play a whole set because I've heard they only get like 30 minutes on the KROQ acoustic christmas thingee...

I"m thinking about going to the Phoenix show. I didn't know tickets were already on sale!

I got the Phoenix tickets in a presale...I don't know if the regular ones are being sold yet...I bought 4 tickets and I MIGHT have 2 extra...I'll find out in a few weeks and if they're still available, I'll let you know.

And I'm rethinking the KROQ thing...I don't know if I want to sit through all the other bands just for 30 minutes of Coldplay.

I truly do suck. I shall now throw myself to the wolves and go to the target center.

Congrats NA!

I went to see them in Stockholm last month and it absolutely blew my mind!

I recommend seatingplaces so you can just sit and enjoy the wonderful music, and the lightshow!

Once again congrats, you?re in for a treat!
