The eligibility period for the Grammy awards is from October 1, 2004 to September 30, 2005. The Acadamy has to have time to then vote on nominees and then winners.

I don't see why they don't just do the awards later.

do people seem to think that just because someone makes a grammar mistake, that that gives everyone a right to make fun of them? this is what i totally hate about online forums, the stupid bullying of people who make honest mistakes (and actually make very good points)
