I have always wondered why tiaras didn't catch on the U.S. the way they did in Europe. In Europe if you're upper class you don't go to a party without wearing a tiara. In the U.S. it's rare, I think. Of course I don't go to big shot parties, but there's never a picture of a celeb with a tiara in the press. I think the difference may be that it's the sign of being married, and our celebs are always getting divorced.:wink:

Which parts of Europe does that happen in?
Here tiaras would be worn by a bride on her wedding day. Some people wear them to formals but a lot of them look really nasty and a bit tacky.

It's good to know she and her editors paid real good attention in their grammar classes. It would be embarressing to publish a book and underuse the word "it."
