whoa  That IS supercheap. I can fly from London to Rome for (pounds symbol) 5.99. It's like $15 Cdn.

$15!!

How the hell do they get away with being so cheap? Is it actually a decent airline? I mean, what's in it for them??

The airlines are perfectly fine. They are just like any airline you are familiar with (westjet or jetsgo!), but they have found a business plan that allows for OUTSTANDING prices for the consumer. They often use alternate airports in Cities, which also helps. Now, these fares are not on all flights at any time...and the lowest fares often go fast. BUT, it is a great way to get around Europe.

Can't you get open-jaw tickets? Where you fly into one city and fly out of another? Usually that works out around the same price as a return ... to the city that's furthest away, I suppose. I'm not really sure!

"Open-Jaw" tickets aren't always cheaper. It is indeed one way to do it, but not always the most inexpensive.
