Thanks for the advice everyone! I'm getting really nervous with all this customs stuff. I'm not a nervous traveller in most cases, but if I have to go through customs ... I hate it. At least when I fly between Australia and NZ, I can take comfort in the fact that I am a citizen of both countries.

I'm planning on taking my CD carry case with my live audio recordings and a few DVDs, along with a few U2 albums in their own cases and the best of Crowded House. I hope I have no problems with that. Would it be safer to just take the studio albums on the plane and put the case of burnt CDs in my suitcase, or doesn't it make any difference?

Does anyone know where there's a list of items you aren't allowed to take on the plane? I looked up sites for tips for Aussie travellers going to the US and couldn't find anything. I'll be flying internally within the US (Nashville to Boston) to see U2 and plan on travelling light (i.e. just carry-on luggage) and I want to know what I'll be able to take with me.

Geez, I'm just so nervous. I don't want anything to go wrong. Come on, I'm 18, no criminal record, won't be carrying anything illegal ... I'm trying to reassure myself.

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

Just make sure you don't have any finger nail clippers in your carry on.

The only crime you will be commiting is taking only one Crowded House CD.

I only have one.

Maybe I'll buy a couple for the trip. Where I say 'buy', I mean convince some nice relative to buy them for me out of pity of the long flight.
