I told myself I did not care about U2 a lot and coming here kind of ruined my excitement about the new album because so many people were arguing about it

Since I heard the dates for the concerts this morning on the radio I shot out of bed and was literally bouncing up and down the hall talking about how we can maximise our chances to get tickets.

My Dad: Stop jumping and sit down and have your breakfast

Me: I can't, I'm so excited, I will cry if I don't get tickets

Dad: Laura, you will get tickets. How much do you want to go?

Me: I will sell my soul on e-bay to buy tickets *bounces down the hall*

I even phoned one shop here who sells ticketmastertickets but isn't in the city centre i.e. less people go. The man knew nothing about U2 tickets.

Me: Was there a long q last time

Him: Eh...a fair one like.. a fair one

Me: Now, what doors open first in the shopping centre?

My Dad: Why are you asking him that?

Me: So when the first doors open I can run like the devil himself was after me and I can be outside the shop door before they have time to open the shutters!!!

I realise that when I get excited, I'm a bit of an airhead.

Ok, I'm off for breakfast now. I was hoping to share my excitement with some testje folk but you all have lives and are doing important things like working/ going to school. I do not. I'm off uni until the 2nd week in Feb.

Hi Laura!

I'm so excited I'm almost literally boucning up and down in my chair at work, lol.

I've already told everyone not to but me tomorrow at 1pm, I'll be trying for San Jose tix.

I had yogurt and a banana for breakfast, btw. I'll lose at least 10 lbs from all this nervousness about the tour!

I went for a walk with my Dad and I was skipping down the street ahead of him with excitement He also just signed me up to u2.com saying that it wasn't that expensive

I am going to be unbearable to live with. I still talk about Slane. Everytime something happens I have a story "Do you remember, when we went to Slane, we ate a Mars bar, that was the last time I ever had a mars bar" or "Do you remember that time we went to Slane we got ponchos, I still have my poncho"

Me to my Dad: "Do you notice Mum and H don't have any itnerest in anything like music, they don't even have a hobby, you like Elvis, I like U2"

My Dad: That's because they live in the real world

In my defence, I am going out tonight with a friend. I go out socialising a goodly amount sometimes too much. I live in the real world as well.

I want to lose a good amount of weight before I see U2 as well. That will be my goal. I had a bannana before my walk, then porridge after it with some orange juice. Then I will have peaches soon and I will have had 3 units of fruit before dinner.

I still talk of the Chicago Stick Show (as it's known to friends and family) often.

I live in the real world, too... Bills, bills, bills. I'll need to go out this weekend after all of this!

I don't understand how the pre-sale works. I hope there will be enough tickets so I can purchase one : worrying :

It's absolutely freezing today. I hope it doesn't snow because I'll be getting a bus home tonight. I also have most of my clothes in the washing machine/ drying, I ned to find clothes to wear

ooooooh i hate that real world

i will have spent an exhorbent amount of money after this week between textbooks and u2 tickets, not to mention 3 cds i've been waiting months for come out tomorrow.

and the textbooks will still have cost more than the money i'm spending on music stuff.

i already picked up my course pack for russian class. it was only 10 bucks, and that's the only "textbook" we have that was the best news ever, especially since my textbook for russian last year was $100.

my books are all expensive because they are foreign and only one bookshop in belfast sells them, its also impossible to get them 2nd hand because so few people do languages/ smae modules some of us do here.

mine are always expensive because even for the large lecture classes that almost half the school takes, the book companies put out new editions each year. you can rarely sell your old books back (and when you can, you only get a small fraction of what you paid for it in the first place), and you can't buy them second hand. plus with all the computer stuff, there's usually a cd-rom you need with a special code that no one else has, so you couldn't get that second hand either.

text books = big rip-off
