Mad World from Tears for Fears...I remember this video like it was a dream...nice to see it again :)

What a great thread
80's music -brings back lots of memories for me! Tears for Fears, New Order, Talking Heads, Depeche Mode, The Cure, so many alternative bands. It was then, too, that I "found" U2, and fell head over heels in love with their music and Bono:drool:

Tears for Fears- Sowing the seeds of Love..Brilliant song!!! way ahead of it's time as well as the video

 I remember seeing that in the television studio where my mom worked and just falling in love with it. Some of their stuff is pretty timeless. Shout had a really stirring video, as well...I think it was black & white, which I'm a big fan of. It's harder to pin down to an era.

Speaking of which, this video had huge impact on me when I first saw it as a kid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fxj41OC9pKU&mode=related&search=

MuchMusic was just getting big here in Canada, and I would just sit for hours watching all these fascinating images connected to songs. I remember thinking how adult this video was, and how I could relate to Don Henley, even though I couldn't...being just 10. In a strange way, it also tapped into a sense of loss I felt even back then for summer. I used to hate when it was over! Really dread it.
