For me it was 'July, July' and 'Grace Cathedral Hill' from the first album.

A friend sent me a mix with Grace Cathedral Hill on it and I liked that quite a bit. Then I heard them on one of the late night shows (Conan, maybe?) and quite liked that song. So they are on my list of bands to check out in the next several months.

It's certainly one of my favorites so far.

I am thinking it may be better than "come on feel the Illinoise"

For all of those others out there who avoid leaks, Pitchfork has a LEGAL download of a song from The Decemberists upcoming major label release, and I think it's the bees knees.

Great tune for the end of summer, looking forward to the album. Good to know that moving to a major label hasn't changed the quality of their output.
