7th Interference Album Listening Party

No vote this time. I'm forcing this record on ya'll.

We will listen to the classic 1993 release of "Giant Steps" by The Boo Radleys.

One of the greatest experimental guitar pop records of all time.

This is quite simply one of the most amazing records ever recorded.
The finest record of the golden age of Brit-pop, by one of the era's best
bands. I have loved it since I first heard it 13 years ago. It's a melodic and
sonic assult of raging guitars, pop hooks, driving rhythms, and wild
sonic experiemtation. All driving home the song.

I most likely won't be able to make it, or if I do it'll be the very end. but I'd love to hear the album.

Damn, I won't be here, I'll be heading off to Melbourne to see U2. These parties are always good fun too. Well, have fun everybody!

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

as far as britpop goes, this record was pretty important, like 'screamadelica' in terms of it's statement and stretch. really blew people away.
if you want to gear up with some reviews and stuff (but don't cheat by listening), here's a cool site:
