This is kind of different to the 5 most joyous songs thread. Songs that make me feel happy aren't necessarily joyous. That sounds like a contradiction, I know, but sometimes songs sound happy (musically) but have depressing subject matter. To be joyous, I think a song has to sound happy and have uplifting lyrics. Anyway, my five:


The Beatles - With A Little Help From My Friends
Chris de Burgh - Patricia The Stripper (funny song)
Pink Floyd - Bike
Queen - Seaside Rendezvous
Feist - Mushaboom (my favourite Feist song to sing along to)

A band called The Wombats has a song by the same title that's also really funny. Strangely, I don't think it's a cover, either.
