I say let it slide this time but we need to have a groundrule.
No picks after the first kickoff or something, just to avoid all the fuss.

I would have questioned the San Diego pick based on the late entry, but 15 minutes into the game, he's not going to be able to tell that.

I think it was 17-17 at the half anyhow, that's about 1:30 central time. 15 mintues in, at worst it would have been 7-3 PATS.

Also, the only team with a big lead early was the Giants and he picked the Rams.

Agreed. I don't think anyone's been cheating, but a rule would eliminate the argument entirely.

Do you come here just to seek confrontation?
This is supposed to be a little bit of fun for everyone, but it appears that you are singlehandedly trying to undermine that.

A history lesson...in past years some people coughHeadachecough have had a habit of occasionally being late with picks. Usually I let it slide, knowing who it is and when the picks show up. Zoney's picks went in at 1:15, not exactly enough time that he could get a real feel for how the games were gonna turn out, so no he doesn't get an 0-16 (kind of difficult in a 14 game week, plus the 4PM, Sunday night and Monday night games his picks would have been on time anyway).
I have chosen to run this thing, and it does take a little time each week, I do it so everyone can have a little fun. The way I see it you have 2 options:

A. Just play along like everyone else, don't snipe and make rude comments, have some fun, make a humorous comment if someone picks the 49ers to beat the Colts, whatever. Remember this is all in fun, its not like I'm Zoney's bookie and he tried to make a bet after kickoff...just for fun.

2. You can start your own thread with your own pool. Knock yourself out.


Either way, I don't like coming here and seeing the crap I saw this morning, if it keeps up, I'm taking my ball and going home and someone else can do the work.

As for everyone elses' comments/sugestions about no picks after kickoff etc. I'm gonna use my discretion as I have in the past. Like in week 1 when a couple of people missed picking the Thurs night game, I'm not gonna credit picks made the following day, but if someone's a little late, I'll use my best judgement on whether the picks get credited.
