Very cool. And you are absolutely right. Sanchez is the real deal a born leader. It will be a great Spring camp to see what they can do.

I'm done. A few more questions though:

If the shoe was on the other foot and another team was doing that to your team, would you think it was right?

What is the excuse for the Arkansas game? Up by 46, 2 or so minutes left in the game. Pass play right. TD! Yea Team! Fight On!

Or the Hawaii game? Up by 39 in the 4th. 4th and goal from the two. Field goal? No, I think the kicker had too much Gatorade and his stomach hurts. Let's pass for a TD. Nice work!

Or Wash? Up by 44-24 with 5 minute to play Run out the clock? No, let's go up top for 6!

Good luck in the Rose Bowl.
In all of those instances, it was the 2nd or 3rd string offense. And for the most part they were playing against the 1st string D. I am sorry, but if your 1st string D cannot stop our 2nd and 3rd string, I really have no pity.

As for calling pass plays against ucla, that was showing mercy Seriously, they need to get Booty some reps because it would be nice to have a qb with some real game experience as USC's first game next year is at Ark.

Against ucla, I would have liked us to punt, if only because it was Tom Malone's last game, and the poor kid just never gets to punt usually

Yay Rose Bowl! Need Tickets.... these might actually be harder to get than the U2 shows this year.

There's still one more game. There's still hope for your poor, poor punter, god willing, of course.

Here's where Pete could have easily screwed himself. Forget sportsmanship, leaving starters in a game that was over long before the 4th quarter started is just plain stupid. What if someone on UCLA's D finally said "f#ck it" and started head hunting.... looking to take out Leinart or Bush?? Without one or both of those guys on Jan 4 an already tough game becomes extremly dicey.

Never would happen. The USC UCLA game is special because many of the players know each other from their high school days. They are all tough competitors and true sportsmen.

For the last game as a senior at home, I think it would be hard to take a guy out of the game before the 4th quarter.

Well, I guess you'd know more than I would. But to me that sounds like california dreamin' right there.

nevertheless, I'm looking forward to the NC game

I cannot wait for the Rose Bowl. Of course, Texas has not learned from the mistakes of Mr Larry Birdine of OK, who last year said that Matt Leinart was overrated amongst other things. Texas Players Popping Off

In other news, I GOT TICKETS! Sorry, still excited about that.

Actually it's 4 loss FSU. FSU is not better than Oregon.

FSU has bigger wins than Oregon (Miami, Virginia Tech), but also laid more stinkers.

I think Oregon had the better season and deserves the bid more, but I'd be more afraid of FSU in a 1-game matchup.

Oregon's schedule hurt them...they had wins over Houston and Montana to start the year....Houston was 6-5 overall, 4-4 conference against weaker teams...

Montana was 8-4 total and 5-3 conference but they had wins over Fort Lewis, Cal- Poly Pomona, and some even smaller schools...

The BCS did not compute those as helpful to the Ducks...
