A great week of college FB, some good matchups, some upsets.

Did Bama or LSU win that game? I didn't see it after they got into OT

I agree that 'SC needs to put the pedal to the metal, however, Matt and Reggie should be taken out when the game is in hand. I just don't want to risk injury to those guys. Yeah, getting them a Heisman would be nice, but I think keeping them healthy is better.

Yeah, I'm paranoid. But watching what happened to that poor 'Bama WR is just awful.

One of the great road trips...

The lead comment on Saturday night was the game hurt Matt's chances for the Heisman because he did not throw a touchdown pass (nevermind that he ran two in....).

Columbus, Ohio doesn't even deserve comment.

Exactly, each on a broken play...

Yeah, I saw some of that game.

They kept showing highlights from the Texas game, of V Young throwing bombs to receivers who took it to the house.

speculation on the OU boards that Bill Snyder will announce his retirement tomorrow.

He did the best coaching job of the last 50 years in college football. K-State was a hell-hole before he got there.

Apparently it's because of health reasons.

Under his watch, K-State perfected the art of scheduling patsies early in the season and beating them by 70 points.

Yeah, that's true, but also they became more competitive in the Big 8/Big 12 than they were ever before.

I could think of a dozen "good" programs who did the same thing while Snyder did the same thing in order to rebuild a horrible program.

Joe Pa, gets applause from all sides, yet they never played anybody back before they joined the Big 11 and when they did, in large part, they lost.

hahahahahahahahahaha

I dont come to a U2 board to read about college football, so I am very late to this particular thread.

Let me just say, I respect Nebraska, always have, but that coach you have is among the largest jackasses I have seen.

He still denies the throat slash to this day.

It's like T.O. saying he didn't pick up those poms on the sideline or run out to the Dallas Star.

I'd like to hear the opinion of the Husker fans, espeically "For Honor" I love the irony of that......

They hired him on the rebound......from......

THE OAKLAND RADIERS!!!!!!!!!

good God, his players quit on him when he coached the Raiders

and then....here is the kicker.......

He called Oklahoma fans "hillbillies" for throwing oranges on the field in 2004.

now, maybe if you are some fuck in Ohio you don't get it, but in the old Big 8, the winner of that game would always go to the orange bowl, so we always threw oranges on the field. Always, even "Dr. Tom" knew this.

To call Bill Callahan a douche would be an insult to all the douches everywhere including John Blake.......who is currently on the NU staff.

Not even close to being correct on this one. His bowl record is unmatched.

PSU's schedule in 1982, the year of their first MNC, featured 7 teams that would go on to play postseason: MD, Bama, Nebr, WVU, BC, ND, and Pitt.

True, some years eastern football was down, and the schedule was thin. As an independant, you had to take what the eastern region gave you back then. But they still never shyed away from intersectional series' with Nebraska, Miami, Notre Dame, USC, Texas, and Alabama. Plus, for those old enough to remember, Pitt was actually a player on the nation scene as well.

All this and has never been investigated, let alone placed on probation by the NCAA.

And his players leave with their degree.

But, with respect to Mr. Snyder, he has done great work at Kansas St.

The Big8/12 needed another team to go w/ the traditional powers and he stepped up, much like Alvarez did at Wiscy.

To be honest, I didn't really see the game, and I don't have an opinion about it. Apperently, if the Big 12 had to take action, it wasn't a great decision to have made. I don't think that is different with any other team in the nation, though. I live in NY, so I don't get to see them often. I support the program, and I like the team for my own reasons. There's a lot of adversity in Lincoln these days, to say the least. And I'm relatively new to College FB, so, whatever.

You can call the coaches whatever you want, but, that's your choice to represent yourself that way

As for my username... you're nothing new. My choice didn't have anything to do with Nebraska, but I don't need to explain it to anyone, especially because people seem to make up their own conclusions anyway
