I don't care if the Avs ever win again.

As of today, I am no longer a fan of that organization.

I sincerely hope they never win another Cup.

Now what to do about my screen name...?

Are you serious, Avsgirl? Why are you saying that...just because they lost?

I wonder how the Wild will do tomorrow short one "enforcer"...

I am surprised to see no discussion here about the Johnson and Cooke suspensions. What do you guys think about it? Anyone, anyone?

IWB is right.

I always swore if they traded him and it was for the good of the team, I wouldn't care. He's my favorite player, but you can't base loyalty to a team on one player, etc.

But this trade is just sheer vindictiveness on the part of Lacroix. He traded him for Sauer--a former Avs prospect who was too greedy, so you've got that nepotism there--but who is in every respect an identical defenseman to Skoula.

That's not a trade for the good of the team. That's just punishment. The team played like crap and to assign a 5-1 loss to one defenseman is just bullshit. It sends the wrong message to the team and to the fans. You don't run a team that way. It's petty and unprofessional.

It's hard, I still love alot of the Avs players so I am really torn, but I do not feel I can support the organization anymore, simply because I cannot stand the way the front office runs things.

Like I said, if they'd traded him for someone I really feel would benefit the team, I would be ok. But this kind of move just undermines team chemistry. It's Lacroix's compulsive trading and personal vendettas that have caused the last 3 poor seasons. I sincerely hope that they lose in the first round again this year.

That and the lock out should finish the team for good, so perhaps I'm jumping off the bandwagon at the right time.

yeah but i edited cos i read your journal, and i realized my post sounded like you were aboandoning them becasue the loss of one player you like, as you said that wasn't THE reason, it was because of why you feel they traded him.

Eh. That's what people are going to think anyway.

<-- geek

I'm ditching all my Avs stuff! Anyone want pins, shirts etc., if my sister doesn't claim them?

I'm afraid I'm keeping the jersey, though I wish I could strip it of all it's logos. Maybe I can get Skoula's name and number off and then someone can have it, ha ha.

Please go here and vote for the first option, everyone.

I shall have my revenge in the Denver press.
