I went to the Canucks/Thrashers game tonight and Vancouver went down 4-1.

The reason I went to the game was that my 7 year old daughter won a pair of tickets as she is a member of the Canucks junior fan club. This was the first hockey game she has ever been to. Part of her prize package was a ride on the zamboni (now called the Olympiad) between the first and second periods. She was really nervous but ended up having a great time.

MG, I'll send Naz a big smooch for ya.
Lemon M. - You will be playing a team that is absolutely horrible right now. The Canucks have lost 5 of their last 6 games - and just lost 3 in a row to very average teams. They're handing away the division title to Colorado...again. Minny will likely beat the Canucks. It should be an entertaining game for you in this respect.

Naz probably needs all the lovin' he can get right about now. He's the only one showing any intensity.

...Or the Wild. They play great one day and then they play like shit the next. One big rollercoaster ride. I kissed the play-offs goodbye about a month ago. Its still fun to watch the games though.

I've never wanted to ride the zamboni.

Driving one would be all right. I could do that for a living quite easily.

I know this is a Canucks comment I'm about to make, but bear with me. Did anyone see what Bertuzzi did tonight against the Avs when D. Sedin scored his goal? Moments before Sedin put the puck in the net, Bertuzzi shoved one Avs player into another Avs player, knocking them both down by using the first one to knock the second one down. It looked like human dominos on skates! This created a bunch of room for Sedin to walk in and score. I don't think I've seen anything like it before.

Actually, no. Take a look at the highlights. He basically shoved one player in normal, along the board fashion (there was nothing illegal about it), and that player hit the other one, at which point they both fell to the ice. It looked really cool, especially since it was all done legally - unlike some other players I know of who wear the colour blue in St. Lou.

I wonder if Moore will be suspended? An AHL kid elbows the NHL's leading scorer to the face, causing him to be hospitalized with a concussion and major bleeding and no penalty? The NHL has to look at itself a little more closely.... or maybe stand farther back... to see the joke they're sadly becoming in this department.

I don't think I have ever seen Marc Crawford as mad as he was last night. I wonder now if the league is going to fine him for making inappropriate comments.
