"A drummer calling in Senegal will be answered in Dehli, then a call from New York will be answered in Ghana, all mixed together with other rhythms creeping in, one global pulse."
This best describes 1 Giant Leap, one of the best compelation CD's I have heard this year. Rhythms and beats from various ancient cultures mixed with modern beats. Just bought the CD
the other day and it has given me a great intro to some areas of World Music. Other than Celtic music, I havent got into World Music until recently and it really is absolutely amazing.
I really do recommend this CD peoples...also has guest vocals by Michael Stipe and Robbie Williams among many.
The Way You Dream is the Michael Stipe song if you want to download it for a tester
PS - I just checked out the website and Brian Eno seems to have something to do with it too.
