Bono Nominated for BFCA Award

Bono, Gavin Friday and Maurice Seezer are nominated for Best Song by the Broadcast Film Critics Association for "Time Enough for Tears." Performed by Andrea Corr, the song is featured in the Jim Sheridan film "In America."

Other nominees in the category are:
"A Mighty Wind", Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, Eugene Levy - A Mighty Wind
"Man of the Hour", Eddie Vedder, performed by Pearl Jam - Big Fish
"School of Rock", Sammy James, Jr., Mike White, performed by Jack Black - The School of Rock
"The Heart of Every Girl", Elton John, Bernie Taupin, performed by Elton John - Mona Lisa Smile

"In America" also received nods in the categories of Best Younger Actor/Actress (for stars Sarah and Emma Bolger), Best Writer (Jim, Kristen and Naomi Sheridan), Best Director (Jim Sheridan), Best Actress ("Electrical Storm" mermaid Samantha Morton), and Best Picture.

The Critics' Choice Awards are bestowed by the Broadcast Film Critics Association to honor the finest in cinematic achievement. Winners are selected by written ballots in a week-long voting period in mid-December and announced the day after the votes are tabulated. The Critics' Choice Awards are presented at the BFCA's annual awards ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel in late January. The ceremony will be broadcast on E!
