Bono helps Aids children have good Xmas

Irish superstar Bono has been making sure children hit by Aids in Africa don't miss out this Christmas. The U2 singer is supporting Operation Christmas Child which sends out presents and goodies to children in need around the world.

People have packed 83,000 shoeboxes with Christmas treats for kids who have HIV or Aids.

Uganda

The shoeboxes are filled with things like sweets, T-shirts, toys, school stuff and practical bits like toothpaste and soap.

The charity project has sent out more than 18 million shoeboxes to children over the last 10 years.

The gifts will be flown out to children in Uganda and Sudan on Wednesday.
